Dear Mom,
Happy Mother’s Day! I wish you could have been here so I could give you a big hug for being the best mom I ever had — yeah, I know you’re the only mom I ever had, but you’re still the best!
Actually, I wouldn’t wish you here. You are having the best Mother’s Day you could have up there with the One who can truly tell you how wonderful you are and how proud He is of the mother you were to all of your children and your extras (as you used to dearly call them).
I sure have missed you today. We went to eat Chinese which wasn’t your favorite but you weren’t here to give an opinion. I kind of felt bad, but then I ate and it was good and I felt slightly less bad. I know the food in Heaven is to die for (haha, see what I did there?) so I’m sure you had the time of your life with all of the best company.
Wow, to think I’d ever be so aware of Mother’s Day. Every day was mother’s day really because you were the one that kept things running smoothly in our household. It’s literally taking everyone and a few extra friends from church to keep things going around here. How did you do it??
We’ll be okay though so you don’t worry about us — though I’m sure you’re not up there because you have always been eyes-on-Jesus since He became your Savior and Lord. I’m trying to be that way too because if I’ve got my eyes on Jesus I might just see you in my peripherals as you sit at His feet.
Miss you and love you forever!
Your daughter,
Hannah
